Alluminia is the creation of Ruben Monteiro and Pedro Fortunato. The band first played in November 2000 for the next nine years played in night clubs and festivals, mostly in the Lisbon region. Having started with cover songs, they soon switched to original compositions. In 2003 the band released their homemade demo CD with three songs and in 2005 the first single: Shaky Existence.
2006 brought a deal with a small label from Lisbon - Graphonola Records. Graphonola published "Dangerous Loudness", a split CD with the band In Pectus featuring three remastered songs from the demo “After Hate” and a new version of the song “One of a kind”.
In April 2007 the band released their first commercial title - "Power On Self Test" which would be a self test for what they expected to be the start of a long musical journey. Having played with several portuguese acts like Yellow W Van, NBC, Blister, Cool Hipnoise, Blind Zero and Primitive Reason the band felt the need to play abroad and flew to Poland in 2008 for an epic presentation of "Power On Self Test" in Rotunda Cultural Centre in Krakow.
In 2009 the band put an end to its activity but keeping in mind the classic words of H.P. Lovecraft:
That is not dead which can eternal lie.
And with strange aeons even death may die.
